Property Management Masterclass - QCAT

Property Management Masterclass - QCAT

What a year it’s been for the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT), the State’s independent tribunal that provides
resolution for disputes regarding residential tenancy under the Residential Tenancies & Rooming Accommodation Act 2008.
In regional Queensland, the Magistrates Court deals with these disputes, acting as QCAT.

Join Katrina Beavon, Legal Counsel for the Real Estate Institute of Queensland along with Andrew Persijn, Special Counsel
in Carter Newell’s Financial Lines group, for this insightful webinar as they explore a range of recent decisions and directives
and the precedent they’ve set for the real estate industry. While QCAT matters are decided on a case-by-case basis and the
tribunal makes their decision based on the evidence put forward by each party, decisions made on residential tenancy disputes
in accordance with the Residential Tenancies & Rooming Accommodation Act 2008, can be a source of doctrine of both binding
and establishing of new precedents.

In what’s guaranteed to be a jam-packed online session, Katrina and Andrew will also cover the ‘do’s and don’ts’ when preparing

for a QCAT hearing as well as the protocols to follow. So, if you want a good outcome to your upcoming hearing, don’t miss these
valuable tips!

Our panellists will be answering all your questions during the webinar. Please click here to submit your question.
