2021 REIQ's Zone Events - You don't want to miss it!

The REIQ is excited to announce the return of its annual zone events, which provide an important platform for the peak body to share
information on industry issues and foster stronger relationships with members across each region of Queensland.

Delivering comprehensive content that offers member access to critical industry updates both local and state, this year’s zone events
will also include strategic business information important for your operational success and new and innovative solutions to the industry’s
current challenges.  Also on offer will be unique insights delivered via the REIQ’s continuing professional development (CPD) program,
allowing members to maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge, expertise and competence.

We greatly look forward to welcoming you in the Mackay Zone Event on Tuesday, 11 May 2021. For more details see below.

Speakers & Topics:

Outlining the adaptability and agility of the Queensland real estate industry over the last 12 months, REIQ’s Chairman of the Board,
Peter Brewer, will be delivering an introductory overview at this year’s zone events in his usual entertaining and unique fashion with
a focus on proptech and the increasingly valuable role its playing in our industry. When it comes to industry tech, Peter’s message
is clear – you don’t want to get left behind.

Peter Brewer - Chairman of the Board, REIQ

After 40 years as a high-performing professional business operator in the property
industry, 10 years as Board Chairman of one of Queensland’s largest real estate
marketing companies, and current Chairman of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland,
Peter has transitioned his professional career to now being one of Australia’s most
respected digital media strategists for the real estate industry.

Discussing the latest developments and news impacting the Queensland real estate profession in addition to upcoming legislative
reforms and what they mean for you, Antonia Mercorella will also provide an update on the new industry training qualifications
as well as the many advocacy projects your membership body is undertaking on your behalf.

As a qualified lawyer and in her role as REIQ CEO, Antonia Mercorella will also present this year’s CPD program, ensuring members
are recognised for keeping up-to-date and continually seeking to improve their professional industry knowledge.

As a ‘must attend’ session for all Salespersons, Property Managers and Principals, key topics will include:

  • Form 6 essentials to ensure your appointment is valid and your commission is safeguarded every time;
  • Risk management practices to minimise legal claims and hefty fines; and,
  • Agency Practice and office management issues to keep your business out of trouble.

Antonia Mercorella - CEO, REIQ

As Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ), Antonia has
transformed the 103-year-old Institute into one of the most progressive and high-profile
industry peak bodies in Australia. Backed by a 20-year legal and executive management
career, Antonia has led and shaped some of the most significant real estate legislative
reforms across multiple jurisdictions while her ability to lead and develop advocacy
programs has drawn national and international attention.

The REIQ is proud to welcome as this year’s visionary keynote speaker, Peter Camphin. As an industry veteran with over 40 years
of experience in real estate both domestically and internationally, Peter will be speaking at every zone event. A formidable speaker
that’s set to challenge your way of thinking,
underpinned by hard facts and powerful insights, Peter will tackle brand reputation
management, market adaptability technology and interpersonal skills and how you can blend these to provide an extraordinary
customer experience.

Peter Camphin - Board Director, REIQ

Peter Camphin has worked across a diverse range of property management and sales roles,
owned and operated multiple real estate businesses, held positions in governance and
advisory and directed state and national franchising operations across Australia and New
Zealand as the former CEO of Ray White Queensland.

aspects of residential real estate. Having worked for 8 years in a high profile franchise
to now owning her own independent agency for the past decade. Allison has spent
